This period, which is just before the puberty period and called puberty, is generally between the ages of 9-14. This period begins with the eruption of the first premolars and continues until the age of 13-14, when the eruption and eruption of all permanent teeth is completed. This is the period of intensive orthodontic treatments. This period, in which children have a pubertal growth spurt, also brings with it some psychological problems as the hormonal activity in the body changes. Since the growth rate increases during the pubertal period, the treatment of orthodontic problems should be done very carefully. In children with chin problems, a wrist film is taken to determine the stage of growth and the devices to be used and the timing of treatment are decided accordingly.

1. Functional jaw therapy devices:
   Chin guard, face mask, activator (monoblock, twinblok), headgear, chin expansion appliances (palatal expansion) are some of the appliances used in this period.
2. Fixed orthodontic treatment:
   In such treatments, brackets are placed on the teeth, and if necessary (if extraoral appliances are to be used), bands are applied to the upper molars. Arch wire is placed on the brackets and tied with thin ligature wire or with the help of elastic. Our patient is called for control again after 3-4 weeks.
