Oral Hygiene Training

Brushing teeth is very important for oral health for every individual. Proper tooth brushing technique is much more important in our patients undergoing orthodontic treatment.
Brackets and wires create a very suitable area for the accumulation of food residues and cleaning of food residues is possible with a much more meticulous brushing technique.
We recommend our patients to brush their teeth with orthodontic toothbrushes at least 3 times a day. Morning, noon and evening. In addition, if something is eaten between meals, it would not be bad to brush again.
The toothbrush used should be of medium hardness, medium size and especially an orthodontic toothbrush. After brushing the teeth with a toothbrush in the evening, the edges of the brackets should be brushed with an interface brush. In addition, dental floss should be used to clean the interfaces of the teeth. We also recommend mouthwashing before going to bed in the evening.
